One child out of every eight will probably die before the age of five in Haiti, which has the highest mortality rate among children in the Western Hemisphere. Preventable diseases like malaria, tuberculosis, diarrhea, and malnutrition are some of the most common causes of child mortality. This is largely due to the fact that almost 60% of Haitians lack access to healthcare, most of them living in rural areas. Our vision with Project Kids Network is to come alongside organizations on the ground in Haiti and across the world already making great strides in reducing this disparity between the wealthiest and poorest nations across the globe. By partnering with organizations like Nehemiah Vision Ministries in Haiti, Project Kids Network teams are able to provide lifesaving vaccinations and treatment to children at risk of becoming another statistic.
